Not all weight loss programs are created equal. Our coaches work hard to debunk much of the mythology in diet culture because we know that counting calories and fad diets don’t get lasting results. Yes, of course, we want our clients to achieve their goals in the short term but more importantly, we want them to have access to their best selves long term.
A lifetime of change requires far more than eating grapefruit for a month straight or tallying up how much of your daily intake that sandwich costs you. Real results require total commitment and deep work.
And that is what our clients give in our exclusive women’s weight loss program, the SHED. Shedders see major results that are meant to last a lifetime. But the SHED is not for everyone.
Is it for you?
Do you want to know the “why” behind your weight gain?
The women who join the SHED want to know why they are gaining weight. They know that understanding why something is happening is the key to fully addressing a problem. They don’t want to treat symptoms (weight gain.) They want to get to the heart of the matter, targeting the problem directly at the source. The “why” is different for each and every woman. In the SHED, our coaches have the expertise, experience, and skill to find it.
Are you interested in the “how” side of changing your weight?
One of the unique aspects of the SHED is that once we discover your unique “why” we are able to plan out exactly what to do to get the results you want to see. Just like your “why,” your “how” is going to be different from other Shedders. Sometimes we have to work on the relationship we have with food as a primary “how.” Other times, we have to change the foods we eat. We identify “how” to get you there–body, mind, and spirit.
Are you ready to change your relationship with food?
This is a biggie! The women who join the SHED are open to understanding–on a deep level–how their upbringing, values, minds, thoughts, beliefs and more all contribute to their relationship with food. If you are not ready to explore this internal landscape and challenge yourself to make adjustments then the SHED is not right for you.
Here’s an example focused on our beliefs about food. We have been conditioned to believe that dieting is the path to weight loss. Okay, fine. (We disagree but that’s not the point here.) Because this myth is so firmly entrenched in our hearts and minds, we place a whole lot of stock in cheating. “Cheating” on your diet is fun! There is no downside to taking a break from the limitations and eating that pie or dipping that chip or whatever it is.
We call BS on this. What if cheating makes you feel absolutely terrible? What if you derail all of your hard work in the name of “cheating” and have to basically start all over? These are the kind of beliefs we get to when we focus on our relationship with food in the SHED. And if you aren’t ready to make some serious changes in the what/when/how/why of eating, then the SHED isn’t the weight loss program for you.
Do you want WAY more than a meal plan?
Listen. If all it took to reach (and maintain!) your ideal weight was to follow a meal plan, the scale would already be reading that number. Yes, meal planning is super important but it is one component of the SHED, not the whole program.
We get it. Meal planning needs to happen. The surest way to find yourself in the drive-through at dinner time is to not put concerted effort into lining out what you are going to eat during the week. Abso-freakin-lutely. But, just like the SHED gets to the source of your weight gain rather than slapping a bandaid on the symptom, our coaches and our program offer SO much more than just a meal plan.
The SHED is high-touch and highly effective. The program is personally led by Coach Rachel and although she can whip up a mean Harvest Bowl, she is so much more than a meal planner. Shedders get results because the program is comprehensive, not prescriptive.
Do you love to get and give support to other women?
When you become a part of the SHED community, you will be surrounded by other women who are facing similar challenges. What’s that they say about being together? Oh, yea. It makes us STRONGER! We leverage that lovely fact about life so that every single SHEDDER gets and gives support to fuel their journey.
The moment you enroll in the SHED, you are given access to our private Facebook group. Inside you will find women who will keep you accountable, celebrate your successes, and extend a virtual hand when you need a pick me up. And in case you’re wondering, yes, Facebook really can help you lose weight.
Do you know the value of having an expert in your corner?
Coach Rachel and the entire team at Whole Woman Health are not fly-by-night fakers that can’t tell a food sensitivity from a stomach bug. Nope. They are beyond legit. Highly educated, immensely experienced, and wholeheartedly compassionate, the team at Whole Woman Health are the experts you need in your corner.
Sure, you could choose a cheap option. You could get a meal plan or sign up for public shaming weigh-in sessions. If that’s your thing, do your thing, girl! We aren’t here to get in your way. But ask yourself this.
When it’s anniversary night, do you go to the local chain restaurant for reheated frozen entrees or spring for the five course tasting menu? The results of those two scenarios are vastly different, right?
If you understand that expertise has value and are ready to pay for the level of experience, results, and isight that you know you need for long term success, the SHED just might be the program for you.
