We have been sold on shortcutting, hacking, and immediate gratification.
We’ve been taught to do the bare minimum, yet expecting massive results.
Quicker.
Faster.
More.
In less time.
As a result, we’ve become a society of immediate gratification that has little resiliency for hard things.
A watered-down version of our grandparents who did hard things daily…and rarely complained.
Going the distance, putting in the work, and staying committed, even when results are slow and the process is hard is a thing of the past. Yet learning this skill set is the foundation to long-term success.
Especially when it comes to the human body, genuine health, and optimal weight.
You can’t hack your way out of a shitty diet.
You can’t shortcut a healing protocol.
You can’t expect a quick fix to being overweight.
Yet that’s what you’ve been sold.
Quick fixes and weight loss hacks.
And it doesn’t work.
Real change comes from hard work.
It comes from grit.
It comes from challenging ourselves.
And it takes a long time.
Here’s the truth about what it takes and how long.
It can be hard.
It will take a lot longer than you think.
The hardest part will be managing your brain to develop resiliency, grit, self-trust, and patience.
You will need to learn how to control and surrender simultaneously. Control your daily thoughts and actions WHILE surrendering to your body as it heals.
True, natural health will go against many things you’ve learned on social media, conventional medicine, and pharmaceutical ads.
It won’t be a perfect, straight line to the end goal.
It will be messy at times.
Healing will feel worse before it feels better.
You’ll be judged by others less committed to their health.
Your family may throw a fit when you start making nutritious meals or taking time for yourself.
You will be a disruptor at work meetings and on-site cafeterias asking for gluten-free and extra vegetables.
Your MIL won’t understand why you’re not eating her meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and special cake.
IT WILL COST YOU MONEY! MORE MONEY THAN YOU ASSUMED!
You will be different, and you’ll have to be ok with that in exchange for feeling well, being disease-free, living your best life, and rockin a strong, lean body.
Pretty much everything you’ve been fed relating to hacks, quick fixes, shortcuts and immediate results will be wrong.
So why am I telling you this?
Because if you know this going in, you can set realistic expectations.
You can wrap your brain around what’s happening and see it as “normal and necessary” – the cost of doing business.
There will be less surprises to derail you.
You can tackle it head-on because you have full visibility of what’s ahead.
And, you can trust that what you are doing is the foundation for health and longevity.
When everyone else is chasing magic pills and quick fixes, you are confidently & calmly working your plan.
And when you reach the place of wellbeing, because you will, you know you EARNED it.
You earned every bite of eating nutritious, healthy food.
You earned every muscle you built.
You earned perfect lab markers on your annual tests.
You earned the size 4 pants.
You earned the glowing skin.
You earned the body every woman envies.
You earned the happy marriage.
You earned your teenager actually liking you.
You earned the promotion.
You earned happiness, confidence, pride, energy, clarity, and joy.
You not only earned it, but you learned how to maintain it. Because once you know how to do it, you can never unknow how to.
This is what it will take.
This is also why most people in the US are obese or have lifestyle-driven diseases – because they have lost the ability to work at something even when it’s hard, costs money out of their pocket, and takes a long time.
They’ve become short-cutters and immediate gratification junkies and their health, weight, and life reflects it.
If you really want to lose weight and optimize your health, do it the honest way.
And give yourself a year.
Dedicate the year to YOU!
Make your plan.
Hire experts to support you.
Find your “people” do this with so you’re not alone.
Make healing your body the first priority and losing weight the second – because you will need to heal in order for your body to run on all cylinders and naturally lose weight.
Embrace the power of your mind and start coaching yourself – or hire a coach to teach you how – because nothing can happen in your life, including eating a piece of salmon over a Chick-Fil-A sandwich unless your brain gives you permission first.
Give yourself a year so you don’t feel rushed, desperate, or panicked.
Give yourself a year because that’s what it will take.
This is what I have the women in my SHED program do.
Create a 1-year plan in the container of the program and here’s how we do it.
- Establish your current baseline through laboratory testing, and create a protocol to support it while detoxing your body and changing unhealthy habits.
- Spend the next 6-months healing your body while rewiring your brain using coaching psychology to learn how to create everything you want in your life. Each month we will focus on a different topic such as prioritizing yourself, reducing overwhelm, time-management, healthy communication, intuitive eating, setting and holding boudaries, exercise, and many more.
- Retest to refine any last issues with your health and become a mentor to new Shedders. This takes you to an entirely new level. You’re no longer only responsible for yourself, you’re responsible for the success of another woman. You become an example of what’s possible. You hold yourself to a higher standard than you do on your own and this is when massive transformation happens.
This is how it has to be if you want genuine health and wellness.
The alternative is you keep chasing hacks and quick fixes and never fix the root cause….you.
It has to be this way, because the alternative isn’t working.
Become the woman who doesn’t take shortcuts.
Become the woman other women look up to.
Become the woman who sets boundaries for herself and holds them.
Become the woman who is confident in her body.
Become the woman who can dedicate an entire year to something, and then spend the rest of her life enjoying the success and rewards from it.
Join us and I’ll show you how.
