Ladies, you’ve been living in hyper-stress, hyper-doing (visible and invisible), and a hyper-control state for a long time. Because you had to in order to get where you are in life. It’s the rules of the game and you either play, and are rewarded for it, or you exit.
Playing has come with great rewards; career advancements, pay increases, titles, and being seen as industry leaders.
It’s a gift…until it’s a curse.
For many women, working in a climate that rewards those for over-working and self-sacrifice becomes a curse when it relates to their health (mental, emotional, and physical) and weight.
Because all this “hyper’ing” doesn’t include taking hyper-care of themselves. Because for most, when they left work, there was more work to be done at home.
There was no time left for even BASIC CARE!
And I’m not talking bubble baths and lavender-scented candles either.
I’m talking about true CARE!
Sleep.
Exercise.
Eating whole foods. Or just eating in general.
Drinking water (I know you know what I’m talking about here)
Coaching or therapy.
Setting and holding boundaries.
Asking for help.
Having annual health labs done.
Alone time.
Friend time.
Ummm, just taking 2 minutes to go to the bathroom during the day instead of holding it and doing that thing you do where you squeeze your legs together or wiggle around until you finish whatever it is you’re doing that you’ve deemed more important than a normal and necessary human function.
Why?
Because career success was modeled after patriarchy, which is not designed for a woman’s body.
Women are different.
And because we are genetically different, we require a different way of living (and working) to stay healthy.
A woman’s body is not designed for this level of stress.
It impacts your hormones for one. The constant release of cortisol depletes your progesterone and DHEA (cue estrogen dominance, weight gain, fatigue, and low libido).
You may develop hypothyroidism or Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis (cue more fatigue, foggy head, and weight gain).
Stress slows your digestive system and creates GI problems like bloating, constipation, indigestion, heartburn, inflammation, and possibly leaky gut.
Your immune system as a whole is downregulated, making you susceptible to auto-immune disease, and infections.
Let’s not even get into infertility! I mean, how is our body supposed to make a baby when it’s in constant fight or flight mode!
And anxiety and depression? Off the charts!
This is not sustainable.
Your body will force you to slow down at some point. And slowing down, or exiting altogether is not an option. You worked too hard to get where you are and you have every intention of staying there.
You cannot do it this way any longer (well you can, but that doesn’t sound super fun to me) and I will show you how to change it.
I’ll teach you to shed old, outdated systems for progressive, sustainable, upgraded ones.
Ones that get you what you need to not only sustain but THRIVE!
Health.
Nutrition.
Laboratory testing.
Functional medicine.
Coaching psychology.
They all converge to create the only playbook designed specifically for high-performing, type-A professional women like you.
Give me a year and I’ll give you a whole new life.
Hell, give me 3-months and see what happens!
The SHED is by application only.
You must get on my calendar before registration closes on April 28th if you’re going to join us on May 9th!
Coach Rachel
PS: Summer is NOT a reason to delay working on yourself. It’s an excuse. You don’t stop going to work just because it’s summer (although this would be dreamy). You don’t stop paying bills because it’s summer. You don’t stop parenting because it’s summer. Life does not stop just because it’s summer. Stop making it an excuse not to get your shit together. It’s just a season, don’t make it more than that.
