“I’m so tired all the time!”
“I feel like I could go home and take a nap.”
“I don’t feel mentally sharp anymore.”
“I have hypothyroidism.”
“I have Hashimoto’s.”
“I don’t have the energy to work out.”
“I don’t have the desire to cook OR eat healthy food.”
“I just want to lay on the couch and binge Yellowstone.”
This is what my clients tell me and there may be a solution for you that no one has ever mentioned before…EBV.
*Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) is a very common viral infection that spreads through saliva and body fluids. EBV is a type of herpesvirus called herpesvirus 4. Most cases of EBV don’t cause symptoms. Other cases, especially in adolescents and young adults, can lead to infectious mononucleosis.
Once you get EBV, the infection stays within your body for your entire life in a dormant state where it’s inactive or sleeping. You can reactivate the virus and experience symptoms again, regardless of when you first acquired the virus.
**about 95% of adults experience an EBV infection in their lifetime.
Stress activates these viruses, and as you know, we are ALL stressed!
Women going through major life changes tend to be more prone to reactivation. Major life events like the death of a loved one, a move or job change, and menopause are common triggers.
EBV’s primary target organ is the thyroid (energy) and is the most common infection connected with Hashimoto’s thyroiditis and Graves’ disease. Hashimoto’s disease or hypothyroidism is an inflammation of the thyroid. Over time, the inflammation prevents the thyroid from producing enough hormones.
EBV reactivates during stress and in hypoxic conditions. Persistent EBV contributes to chronic fatigue. Varying levels of fatigue may occur daily along with other symptoms associated with EBV like sore throat, night sweats, headaches, poor appetite, swollen glands, sleep disruption, and anxiety.
Most clinical practitioners will recommend sleep, rest, fluids, or an antiviral.
I take a different approach to support EBV that has worked VERY WELL for my clients that doesn’t require pharmaceuticals.
The best part of what I do in the SHED program is I am able to identify things like EBV, and provide support to reduce or eliminate symptoms, so you can have the energy to work on your health and body composition.
That’s the benefit of working with a certified nutrition practitioner, I give you answers and solutions that most others can’t.
Call me to discuss if The SHED can help you.
You need to schedule today as doors to the January 2nd cohort close in 8 days.
