🤯The Cycle of Overwhelm
This week you were too overwhelmed to get your workout in.
Now you feel disappointed and resentful.
So you open a bottle of wine and watch movie trailers.
Which makes you feel puffy, bloated, and gross the next day.
You’re grouchy, snap at your kids and tell your partner how you’re too overwhelmed, you do everything around the house, and feel resentful that he walks through life carefree every day.
The two of you get in a fight.
You say “eff” it, I guess I have to do everything around here”, start doing everything……including things that don’t really need to be done to prove you do everything, and then you’re pissed off, exhausted, impatient, and slam things around all day.
Now there’s NO WAY you can go to the gym or do yoga because YOU HAVE TO DO EVERYTHING!
Open a bottle of wine.
Plop on the couch.
Rewatch movie trailers.
Rinse.
Repeat.
